#030: Breaking free of impostor syndrome: Your differences are your strengths.

This week I spoke to Karen Jean-Francois joining us on the show. Karen is an analytics manager passionate about how data science and analytics can support businesses. While she finds digging into data is fun, experience taught her that it’s only a small part of the job, and she believes that focusing on personal development and having access to role models is key to having a successful career – no matter what your definition of success is.

This is why she created the TheTrivingAnalyst and the Women in Data Podcast in partnership with Women in Data UK and In 2020 she was recognized as one of the top Twenty in Data and Technology.

What you’ll hear about:

  • Being able to stop being who others are expecting you to be

  • Going on a quest to understand who you are

  • Understanding your differences are your strengths

  • Creating a role that works for you

  • Breaking free of impostor syndrome

  • The need for a support network

  • Living with no regret and standing behind your decisions
